The Lucky Leather Jacket

Today I’m going to share with you a little story- a timeline of events if you will, that have led me to this very post.

On September 16th (I only remember that exact date because it was my cousin/bff’s birthday), I bought a leather jacket.

But it wasn’t just any leather jacket…

My cousin and I were doing our annual BFF birthday shopping thing and we walked into a TJMaxx. Now, I had been searching for the perfect leather jacket for a couple of months now. One that fit just right, didn’t make my arms sweat (idk- it’s a thing for me), and didn’t cost me a sweaty arm and a leg either. But before I could even relay this info to Leah (that’s my cousin/BFF -lol) we were looking on one of the sale racks and she pulled out a black leather jacket and said “This looks like you”. We kind of have telepathy in that way. Anyways, as you can probably imagine- I was PUMPED. And – it was only $22! Now it’s not real leather. It’s 100% polyurathane (they call it a vegan leather jacket on the tag- and that’s fine- save the animals and what not). But none-the-less it didn’t LOOK fake or cheap (especially not $22 cheap!).

And so my excitement led to purchasing this gem and all was well in the world.

Well just a couple of weeks later I posted this photo on instagram:

I tagged tjmaxx because that is where I bought the jacket and I also tagged Sanctuary Clothing because that was the brand of the jacket- yadda yadda and to my delight I won a contest I never even knew I entered! (OK- I added the hashtag #maxxcontest to my post but never expected anything to come from it!)

So I won 2 $25 giftcards to TJMaxx- one for me and one for my BFF, Leah- which found the jacket initially! AHHH! (I don’t believe in fate but if I did – this would be some serious good karma right here ;))

OK- anyways getting to the next part of my story. A couple of weeks after THAT, a representative from the Sanctuary Clothing Handbags division reached out to me. They were so very gracious as to send me a free leather bag of my choice from their winter line!

GALS- I’m like still cloud 9 about this. So as you can tell from my drawn out tale, I now think that this leather jacket is SUPER LUCKY!

I’ll shut up soon but I just have to say that I am soooo STOKED on this company. You can tell that they really care about 1. the quality of their clothing and 2. their customers.

The quality of both my jacket, and this bag are impeccable. I realize that they don’t exactly have Charlottte Russe prices. But in this case, like many, you get what you pay for. If someone on your Christmas list is looking for a great investment piece of clothing or a sturdy long-lasting bag, I recommend Sanctuary.

It’s the perfect shade of mauve (it comes in black and yellow as well) that honestly will look good in any season, warm, or cold. It also has awesome and almost unexpected (in a good way) details on the front.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cell phone pocket in the back. I wish all bags had this. It is totally necessary and easy access to your mobile device.

Crossbody’s will never be out of style and this one is no exception. I love the length of the strap and how effortlessly it hangs. I also really like the structure this bag has.
