On Trend: Black and Tan
In my opinion, black and tan are two of the most elegant color combos out there. Cheetah print, for example has managed to stand the test of time with these iconic colors and I don’t care what anyone says; if you wear it tastefully, you are never too old for cheetah! 🙂
This look could probably be recreated fairly easily with items already in your closet. And the bag, well, we can all dream, but a black or brown one would go just fine! I actually purchsed the boots shown here in black on the online Dillard’s New Year’s Day sale. (Don’t worry, I’ve gotten rid of almost all my existing boots to make way for these genuine leather bad boys!). I’m pretty excited to say the least.
This next set incorporates a killer pair of red boots. I don’t have any, but I like the idea. I hope you wear yours all the time if you own a pair. This outfit was inspired by a friend of mine at church who was rocking an awesome pair of vintage square toe red boots that she looked awesome in! Add a black midi skirt and tan turtle neck to sport a statement necklace and you’re fit for the runway.
This next one is a nice balance for work and play. I don’t necessarily reccommend a color block top for anyone and everyone, if you carry your weight through the middle, avoid a stark line across your mid section and go for a one color top. A cheetah print scarf will draw the eye up and these trousers will keep you comfortable all day.
Here are a few of my own black and tan looks I’ve put together:
I have more but I’ll spare you. I clearly wear these colors often, but hey- I like them. And that’s one thing I do know! How do you style black and tan?
