On Trend: Prickly Prints

So, who else LOVES the cactus trend that has taken the fashion world by storm?! It’s like if you put cacti or lemons on a shirt we all lose our minds! ;-) Well, when I saw this adorable cactus print top on the J.Crew website I knew I just had to have it. I bought it over Memorial Day weekend for 30% off so for about $20 I was super pleased. I found that this runs true to size. I purchased a size small and laid mine flat to dry after I washed it in cold and was happy with […]

That New Blush Color

Today’s post is in honor of my Mom- because every time we go shopping now and she sees something she likes in the color “Blush” she says “ohh look and it’s that new blush color!”. Haha so this is sort of an inside joke and I promise it would have been funny if you had been there – lol. Anyways. This look is entirely thrifted besides the shoes (which are Steve Madden and were found on the clearance rack at Burlington Coat Factory for $19.99 – woot!) This blush a-line tulle skirt is the perfect Spring piece! I paired it […]

On Trend: Wear a T-Shirt under a Camisole

Hey there, girlies! Today I am featuring a trend I noticed among bloggers where you wear a white t-shirt underneath of a camisole. So, can I get an ‘oh-yeah!’ for this modest trend?! I like this look with the boyfriend jeans – (minus the lace on the cami) [source: theclosetheroes] [polienne.com] This look is super cute with the silk scarf! [source: lacooletchic] Now, when shopping on thredUP for the right camisole, I avoided anything lacey. I didn’t want to give the impression that I was wearing lingerie on the outside of my clothes. What do you think of this trend? […]

On Trend: The Choker Necklace feat. Madee By Lexi Jewelry

Hello friends! Have you tried out the 90’s choker trend yet? Subtle in Suede

So if you haven’t noticed… suede is definitely having a moment this Fall. But the thing isssss… all I keep seeing is like micro mini skirts in a beautiful shade of camel colored suede. And it’s annoying. Like- WHY can’t that be about 12 inches longer? But- awesomely enough, I found an extremely gently used Ann Taylor suede midi skirt at my local thrift shop for 6 bucks. It’s the most lovely shade of chocolate brown. I can’t believe it but I even found a link to the skirt– it’s from the winter collection last season at Ann Taylor. One […]
