My Favorite Drug Store Makeup

Hello Ladies!

Today I am talking makeup. I’m sharing my favorite drug store beauty products and I’d love to hear how you like (if you like) this post and share with me your favs! Everything is linked to Ulta 🙂

** This is not a sponsored post but I typically get my stuff at Ulta so that I get the rewards points, and you can find everything in one place 🙂 **

So, let’s dive right in!

Foundation:

Maybelline Fit Me Stick – $8

I do not wear foundation every day, but when I need something quick, and more like a cover-up… this product is great! I really love this foundation because it is really portable and light weight. It’s a great foundation to take on trips. I wear “Classic Ivory 120”, and I think it is a perfect fit! I don’t tend to use a primer when I do use foundation and this stick formula keeps me shine free (I usually apply a translucent powder at the very end as well).

Loreal Paris Lumi Cushion – $17

This is the most expensive thing on today’s post but I really am liking this formula! (If you wait until Ulta does BOGO 50% off that is the time to buy!) I wear “Natural Ivory” in this and I feel it is a great match for my skin tone! It’s very light weight and natural looking- yet full coverage! The packaging is cutie patootie, and the container seals the cushion with the product when you close it so it doesn’t dry out! I’ve only applied it with the applicator it comes with but I’m sure this would also work really well with a beauty blender type sponge.

Highlighter:

ULTA Illuminating Powder – $10

In my humble opinion, you can’t really go wrong with an off brand highlighter. This ULTA brand one is cheap and effective to give you a little glow on top of your foundation…. or no foundation for that matter. Don’t waste your money on an expensive one.

Eye Shadow:

Revlon ColorStay Creme Shadow in shade 730 – $6

I love this creme eye shadow! It’s especially good if you’re running late and don’t have time to use eye shadow primer (I typically do but this stuff is pretty sturdy). It looks amazing by itself or as a base layer! #730 is a gorgeous dusty rose color and good all year round! PLUS – it comes with a built in brush!

ULTA Color Pure Eyeshadow Pigment (this is the only one I couldn’t find an exact link to!)

A little goes a long way! But this is a really awesome shimmer to layer on top of the creme shadow I mentioned above and it’s really easy on your wallet!

Eyeliner:

Maybelline Line Stiletto – $8

99 times out of 100, this is the liner I reach for. I wear the color “brownish black”. It’s got a felt tip that is flexible but sturdy enough not to go all over the place when you’re trying to draw a straight line. It lasts a long time (while wearing and from tube to tube) and it’s only $8!

Lips:

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Premium Pink – $11

This is the best drug store lip stain out there if you ask me. It can be a bit drying so I always wait for it to dry after I apply it and then add a layer or two of tinted lip balm or lip gloss. This seriously lasts all day and through at least 2 meals!

And… Last but never least…

MASCARA!!! 🙂

Where do I begin? I love all mascara. BUT – I narrowed this down to 3:

Rimmel London Scandeleyes Retro Glam – $6

This formula layers well but all looks awesome all by itself… and that’s saying something for me because typically I wear 2-4 layers of different mascaras!

Loreal Paris Lash Paradise – $10

This has taken the makeup world by storm, and for good reason. Although it costs $10, I think it’s worth every penny! This formula gives your lashes amazing volume that looks totally natural. I love it!

Essence Lash Princess – $5

I can’t believe how cheap Essence mascara is! It ranges between 3-5 dollars and I love it! I chose Lash Princess for this post but I have tried the “Get BIG Volume” one as well and love to combine them! This line of mascara is a must try, y’all!

Welp, that’s all for today! I’d love to hear your favorite drug store beauty scores!

keep on keeping on…
