How To: Create an Epic Barrette
Hi friends!
Today I have a fun DIY for your hair! Barrettes are making a SERIOUS comeback and I’m definitely pumped about it!
I got this idea from Pinterest, here, and decided to have a go at it. Sometimes you see DIY projects and you’re like… yeah that’s cool but I don’t think I would actually wear that in public. But when I saw this- I was like, um YES PLEASE!
What you’ll need:
-Glue gun
-Hair barrette (I got mine at Pat Catan’s)
Ok, brace yourselves. Because this is super complex and hard to understand.
Step 1: Heat the glue gun up.
Step 2: Line up your gems in the order you want to glue them on the barrette 🙂
Step 3: Put a little glue on the gem and place on the barrette. Hold in place until secure.
Step 4: Repeat Step 3 until complete.
Step 5: Add a row of hot glue to the back of the barrette across the gems to secure further.
Wah-lah!!!! You’ve got an epic barrette for about $6.50 a pop!
