20 Gifts for Guys … From Working Man to Nerdy Pants

Hi Beautifuls!

It might seem a bit strange that today I’m gathering up all my gift ideas for guys on this here girly fashion blog, but I’ve come to the realization that we girls are always left with the responsibility to shop for the men in our lives and the lives of our husbands/boyfriends etc. Am I right?!

I know I am…

I’ve read about one bazillion gift guides for guys on various sites and to be honest… my guy is not a puffer vest, scarf wearing human. He doesn’t want italian leather dress shoes or personalized cuff links for Christmas. He wants, hmmmm let me see… tools, tools, and ummm TOOLS.

So today I’ve compiled my own list of things that I think may help some of you out for the guys on your list!

P.S.- This in absolutely no particular order 🙂

FYI: All of the pictures have direct links to the item.

A YETI- Don’t worry, it’s just a thermos. These are supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread for your coffee. Any heavily caffinated man would love this as a gift 😉

A Dunkin Donuts Gift Card- Put this INSIDE the YETI thermos! Genius. I know. I know. Easiest. Gift. Ever.

A Starter Tool Pack- This is a tried and true great gift. Get your sister(s) and/or brother(s) to pitch in and give this to the car guy in your life. He’ll LOVE it. (Includes Standard and Metric sizes… which is awesome)

The Coziest Blanket- I know this might seem girly at first.. But trust me, just get it in grey, or black. Because when you drag your hubs/bf into Target for just one thing *wink wink* (it’s cool we’ve all done it) and you’re finally done going through all of the clearance racks, you’re probably going to find him in the blanket aisle touching all of the blankets to see which one is softer. Oh that was just my husband? Oh, okay nevermind. But seriously. They will love this. They will probably not share either.

Pens- Why are boys such weirdos about pens? I mean seriously. My brothers won’t share their pens with anyone. Guys love a quality ball point pen. Just give them what they want, I guess.

Sharpies- I think it’s like a universal thing that these go missing in almost every industry. Give your guy a stash pack for when his gets misplaced/stolen.Concrete Markers- My husband said this was a thing. I DO listen to him when he talks work- just sayin’, and this is proof. Apparently a regulation Sharpie doesn’t do the job when you’re trying to write on concrete and pipes and other construction-y objects- and there in fact is a solution to that!

Waterproof Notebooks- Great for when they have an ingenius idea in a thunderstorm.

Dickies Sherpa Lined Flannels- Apparently these are, and I quote, “The Bee’s Knees”. My husband got this gift early this year because he convinced me he was going to freeze out there in the wilderness (a.k.a. Akron, Ohio). I’m a sucker, what can I say?

Headphones- I feel like guys break these all the time… maybe I’m being a tad dramatic, but they get gross kinda fast and they start fraying. Honestly my favorite ones are the apple ‘ear shaped’ ones. They don’t have that horrifying piece of rubber that goes inside your ear but they sit comfortably for hours on end. I think this is a good gift for any age!

Cordless Drill- Just… just take my word for it. They don’t want a piece of chocolate or anything else simply shaped like a power tool… they want a real power tool. Just sayin’.

Personalized Golf Balls- If there is a golf guy on your list, this gift is sure to please. Personalize their golf balls so they can mark their territory on the golf course! I actually did this for my 16 year old brother’s birthday this year and he loved it!

Favorite Sports Team Jersey- Whether it be baseball, football, or basketball (or soccer?) This is a great gift for the sports fanatic on your list that will last a long time.

Muck Boots- These are seriously some of the most versatile footwear on the market. They keep you warm in sub-freezing temps and your feet don’t sweat in weather up to 85 degrees! They are also 100% waterproof and just really really comfy. My hubs has 2 pair that he swaps out between winter and summer. Definitly a good gift for the adventurer/always working man on your list! (They also make steel toed muck boots for a slightly higher but reasonable price).

A Guitar Strap- For the family musician, maybe a new guitar strap! This one is under $20 and suede leather!

Guitar Picks- Keeping with the music theme- you can’t go wrong with some fresh guitar picks!

Sushi Socks- OK. This definitely qulifies as a nerdy gift, but I know for sure that one of my brothers would love these. Goofy socks are always a good idea. PLUS- the more socks they have the less chance of re-wear without washing if ya know what I mean… again, just sayin’- boys will be boys. 😛

Rain Guards- The sports car guy or just plain practical human on your list will love this gift. It’s not something people typically want to spend money on for themselves but once you have these they are great in the summer when you want to leave your winders cracked on a super hot day and if a rainstorm comes though you don’t have to worry 🙂 You can buy these for almost any make and model and it’s sure to be an appreciated gift since you took the time to figure out what kind of car the guy drives 😉

Pancake Air Compressor- Now, whoever you get this for can fill your car tires when they are low 😉

Meat Smoker- If you have a hunter and/or a cook on your list- this is sure to make them feel manly.

Well, that’s it! I hope this has been helpful! Let me know how you liked this and if you’d be intereseted in any other gift guide posts!

  1. Great list Taylor. I will mention that the concrete markers do not launder well. My hubby made the mistake of leaving one in his jeans pocket & next thing I knew my washer drum had yellow all over. It took quite a bit of time to clean all that even after washing machine cleaner. Note to myself: I ALWAYS triple check pockets now before washing 😉
