10 Staples for Fall 2016

Hellooooo! Ahh! Today I have such a fun post for you ladies. Fall is in t-minus 23 days! I think we can all just nod our heads in agreement that this is the greatest fashion season of the year and the one that we get most excited for!

SO, I’ve put together some of my favorite looks with links to some fun fall staples that will carry you into Winter and of course every other Fall season!

#1 – Utility/Military Jacket

This is a great staple for both Autumn and Spring if you get it in a neutral color- which if you ask me every color is a neutral at some point during a given season so if you play your cards right this will get a lot of use.

I’ve linked to some really reasonable jackets below ๐Ÿ™‚

Gap – $40

Gap – $30

Target – $45

Maurices – $54

Sears – $30

#2 – Faux Leather Tote Bag

Trust me when I say you will probably switch bags A LOT LESS if you get one of these. They go with everything and they fit anything! My husband doesn’t realize it- but he loves when I carry big purses, because then I can put all his junk in there ๐Ÿ˜‰

These totes are so popular and literally everywhere! I’ve linked to all the totes in this collage- All under $65! (I’ve gotta say that Sole Society one is speaking to me!! hahaha)

I will also throw in here that if you are looking for this to be an investment I personally believe that a real leather bag like this one is a wonderful investment. But honestly, I picked a reversible, faux leather one up at a Dress Barn Outlet store and have gotten so many compliments- these are so chic- real leather or not! I also recommend checking out your local consignment shops for real leather bags. I’ve lucked out several times doing this!!

FREE TIP: You can use shoe polish on leather bags too! So don’t let a few scuffs scare you away from an awesome deal!!

Oh- this is just a side note- But I found this article very enlightening ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sole Society – $65

AE – $55

Miss Selfridge – $49

Belk – $36

Old Navy – $22

#3 – Wrap Dress

Wrap Dresses are a great staple to have in your wardrobe. First of all, they are universally flattering, and second of all- they are soooo trans-seasonal! I’ve linked to some great, reasonably priced dresses below! Also- If you have Burlington Coat Factory stores in your area- I have had great luck there finding wrap dresses in the past.

ASOS – $30.00

ASOS – $68.00

Target – $55

Zappos – $48

And of course you can always search for Wrap Dresses at … thredUP!

#4 – Bootiesssss

Ya’ll probably could have guessed that I would have this in here. Fall style really doesn’t change much I guess, but it is always so fun to shop for that it feels like new every year! ๐Ÿ˜‰ First of all I am going to say like I always do – check thredUP before you go out and buy your fall boots at Target because there is a huge chance you will find a much higher quality boot on there for the same price as boots at Target or Wal-Mart PLUS you are helping the environment when you buy second hand- just throwing that out there ๐Ÿ˜‰ hehe- but still, I have linked to these 4 Target booties that are out this year and they are all SUPA cute <3

#5 – Turquoise

I think turquoise is completely timelessย  when it comes to jewelry and I definitely think it is a fall staple. You might think it is trendy at first, but really the things surrounding turquoise are always the trends- turquoise is the lasting part. I think it is a great color to transition into fall and still hold onto the warmth of summer with. PLUS – it makes everyone look a little bit more tan- and I need all the help I can get in that area ๐Ÿ˜‰

Turquoise looks fabulous paired with rich brown tones and is the perfect pop of color and statement that your fall outfit needs.

#6 – Blush Pink

This color is such a fun way to bring your spring wardrobe all the way to autumn. From pink jackets to dainty scarves- paired with rich brown riding boots, this color is super classy and chic.

TIP- Pair some turquoise jewelry with your blush pink top/dress for a fun color combo!

#7 – Neck Scarves

I have seen this style popping up all over the blogging world and I think it is super fun! You can probably find a fun handkerchief in your closet to use as a neck scarf! (Or raid your mom’s closet like me (-;)

#8 – Bohemian Chic

I am personally really stoked about the 70’s styles sticking around. Peasant maxi dresses and floppy hats with boots all in neutrals but mixed and matched – YAYYYYYY!!!! Haha it is sooooo much easier to put an outfit together when all your fall clothes can be mixed and matched- plus the bohemian looks are meant to look a little patchyย if you will. Like the outfit below- all neutrals and very different ones at that, but it stillย goes together ๐Ÿ™‚

This dress is also SUPA CUTE
This crossbody bag from Gap Factory is a great fall staple
This dress with a white tee underneath, boots, and a hat would be TOTES ADORBS

#9 – Knit Sweaters

This is also a given – but I mean how could you not be excited for a cuddly fuddly pile of sweaters…?!?!

#10 – Vest Cardigans

These are my go-to in the fall/winter. They pair great with dresses and skirts and looks super chic with straight leg jeans, boots, and a big chunky scarf.

Avoid fringe- because at some point in time it will go off trend. Personally I like to keep these in solid colors. They can be bright, but solid colors pair best with everything else in your wardrobe. Avoid horizontal striped cardigans as well.

This cardigan looks sooooo comfy!

this oneeeee… ughhhh- so cute!

And this one from target you could wear with everything

And here are a few of my fall pieces:
